Mission and Vision 2007

Main Street Community Church exists as a community of believers in Jesus Christ aiming to know him better and to worship him with deeds as well as with words. Whilst we meet in a building we believe that the body of people is more important than the physical structure.

We are committed to:

• The Good News of Jesus Christ as taught in the Bible
• The value and importance of each individual
• The value and importance of God’s World
• A strong emphasis on teaching the Bible
• A strong emphasis on practising Christian lifestyle
• A strong emphasis on prayer - corporately & individually
• A strong commitment to our local Community
• A strong commitment to National and World Mission

Goals for 2007

• A full 12 month teaching programme available by end Jan 07
• 75% of regular attenders in active Bible Study & Prayer groups
• Consistent recording of prayer requests and prayer answers!
• At least one “Christianity Explored” Course operated
• 5 people trusting Christ during the year
• Consistent prayer for ‘prodigals’
• 5 people restored to Christian faith during the year
• A regular outreach to men firmly in place by May 2007
• Lively, engaging All-Age Services with regular visitors
• Ongoing relationships with Churches Together maintained
